bug bites

who remembers chimp mints? i know grace does. well my mom has taken to mailing me some sort of sweet thing every week since she thinks i'm having a nervous breakdown, and this week she sent me bug bites so here is a fun fact for everyone: the stink bug nymph. stink bugs can be recognized by their characteristic oval body shape and each antennae being comprised of five segments. this immature larval stage is considerably more colorful than the adult form which was almost entirely black. true bugs undergo a common form of incomplete metamorphosis with three life stages. the eggs hatches (their grammar mistake not mine!) into nymphs which grows ever closer to the adult form through a series of body molts.

gross. and way less fun than the stories about chimps that came with chimp mints. but that chocolate was really gross and this chocolate was really good.

i don't know what chimp mints or bug bites are!!! they must have been a 'city' thing.

no! they are a coop thing! chimp mints were these little squares of mint chocolate that came with a card telling the story of a chimp. it would be like, missy is the mother of manny. prince was her mate until shanana came and stole him away. shanana and missy battled for prince, but missy lost an eye and had to concede defeat. now she has no mate. but the chocolates were so gross. we would buy them and then try to give away the chocolate. bug bites are tasty chocolate but the stories are not fun.
